I Have an App for That!
Technology has morphed our lives in such powerful ways, it is impossible to ignore. There are those who try, like my Grandma, who refuses to learn how to use a computer. But more than likely, we have all become more dependent, in one way or another, on the various types of technology that has made its way into our daily lives. It is easy to see why, with the entourage of handy devices available, like cell phones, that help us keep in contact with each other at all times and GPS for getting us to our destination without too many wrong turns.
There are also the various apps that we can put on our handy mobile devices that just make life so much easier at times. My personal favorites are the free ones that make my life easier in so many different ways. For example, when planning a camping trip, I use the Woodall’s app that makes searching for an RV park that works for me, a piece of cake. It has awesome features, such as searching through the long lists of RV Parks for just those that offer certain amenities, such as a pool or the Internet. The Woodall’s app also provides maps that outline where the attractions are in comparison to the campground and so much more. It also lets me know whether or not my size rig will fit in the spots at a specified RV Park that I am considering. I then use Reserve America’s free app to easily and conveniently reserve our spot.
Since I have been known for forgetting my flashlight at home in the past, I now ensure I have a flashlight app on my phone for a quick and easy flashlight that I am not likely to forget at home. If you like to hike as I do, there is the free All Trails Hiking app, which has maps and photos of local hikes that are rated and reviewed, for you to pick and choose from. Since I enjoy running for exercise, I really appreciate the Map my Run app that keeps track of my mileage, time, and pace, along with a handy map to ensure I don’t get myself lost when running in a new place. The list of helpful apps really does go on and on, which leads me to the conclusion that I will have to continue with this post another time…
