Congrats to Anvil Campground for 60 Years Serving RVers
Anvil Campground celebrated 60 years of making great memories for RV travelers during a fun-filled pig roast on March 1 at the Williamsburg, Virginia, RV Park.
Guests and staff gathered at the 60 for 60 party to enjoy succulent roasted pork and delicious cake, and to reflect on six decades of fun and family togetherness at the Good Sam Park, which boasts an impressive 9.5/9.5*/8.5 rating in the Good Sam RV Travel Guide and Campground Directory. On hand were members of the Jump family, who founded the campground in 1954 and own it to this day.
Highlights of the event included pork roasting on an open barbecue, comments and recognition from members of the Jump family, and delicious cakes recognizing the milestone. There was even a cake baked in the shape of an anvil!
Join us in wishing for 60 more years of great guest experiences at Anvil Campground, located close to Colonial Williamsburg and other area attractions. The Jump family boasts historic ties to the development of Colonial Williamsburg, and the clan continues to be an instrumental part of the community. In fact, between 1929 and 1935, family members made the original wrought-iron work, tools, locks, hinges, gates and other fixtures still found throughout the park to this day.
