RV Campground Search Made Easy

Fourth of July is right around the corner and I just got the best news!  My family is bringing their RV for that weekend to celebrate Independence Day and go camping with us at the beach!  We realized there may not be many places left for such a popular camping weekend, so I got right to work on finding us a great RV park that fits all of our needs and has space for us. I recently read that Woodall’s has a new campground search, so I decided to use it to help find us a couple camp sites nearby in Ventura.  The New Campground Search Engine is conveniently located right on their website homepage at http://www.woodalls.com/.  First, I plugged in the city and state (Ventura, CA) and it instantly came up with 45 results within a 50 mile radius of Ventura.   Then, because my family is coming to Ventura to be close to the beach, I opted to sort the results of my search with the “distance” option.  The other convenient options you can use for sorting/viewing your search listing... [Read more...]

Time to Plan…

The time has come; the time is now. Last year, being the year of our big move, we did not travel during the summer as we usually do. We were too busy still moving west and getting settled in, 1500 miles away from our former home. To be comfortable traveling, we needed to be more secure home base. I have work that I enjoy; Terry is settling into his new routine and taking classes in building and landscaping at UNM Taos to help make those improvements a reality. We have also had the pleasure of enjoying the company of all three of our children for the entire month of January, making it feel even more like home. The time has come to plan our travels for the year. Even though I do much of my work everyday on a computer and via the internet, when starting to plan our travels, I prefer... [Read more...]

Woodall’s Guide to Good Sam Ratings

With spring time just around the corner and numerous campsites re-opening for a new seasons in 2013, RVers in the northern part of the US and Canada are probably feeling that it’s about time after the cold months leave our area.   I know that my own kids keep talking about when we go back to the trailer.   My five year old daughter wants to bring her new Maplelea doll and the clothes she has in order to have her experience camping.   I can’t help but smile at her enthusiasm.   Still we have a couple of more months to wait and the snow needs to disappear from the ground before we can venture to our RV which is parked in Cobden, ON. When you are looking at campsites to visit during your trips, how do you search for them?   How do you compare them?   In the past, we usually went through the Woodall’s Campground Directory to find a campground that would fit our needs.   But back in December, we received a new directory titled Good Sam RV Travel Guide & Campground Directory.   ... [Read more...]
